How to Make Fairy Wings
Hand Painted Doll Wings
Dear Doll Makers,
Learn how to make hand painted fairy wings. Beatrice the Elder is almost complete, but she needs her wings! This is a part of my Old Lady Fairy complete course, however it also makes a great stand alone tutorial for those who just want information on how to make fairy wings.
You will learn how to assemble, paint, embellish and varnish butterfly fairy wings. When you've finished you will have made the wings for your own fairy doll.
What's Included in the Mini-Course?
2 Video Lessons: Look over my shoulder as I make fairy wings! Enjoy over 9 minutes of video instruction.
Step by Step ePage: This ePage was designed in PDF format so you can easily print it and check off your progress as you go through the videos. Every step is time-stamped so you can easily find the information demonstrated in the correlating video.
Supply List: The Quick List is meant for those who probably have many of the supplies on hand already, so they're just looking for a quick checklist. The Detailed List is below the Quick List. I wrote the Detailed List for everyone but I'd especially suggest looking it over if you're new to doll making. You also get a PDF version of the supply list. Print it up and use it as a shopping list if you prefer to shop locally.
A Quaint Fairy Tale Short: I wrote and produced a little fairy tale about Beatrice the Elder just for you. Beatrice is both wise and frugal, and she really loves going thrifting. Find out what her latest yard sale treasure was.
I'm looking forward to making fairy wings with you!
My daughters and I started playing around with polymer clay in 2015. One day while searching online, I stumbled upon incredibly life-like polymer clay dolls.
What an unforgettable moment!
When I saw what could be achieved with polymer clay, the same clay I had been using like a toy with my kids, I knew immediately I had found my artistic calling and lifelong pursuit--I didn't want to do anything else.
I started sharing my passion on YouTube in 2016. My polymer clay tutorials have since been viewed over a million times and my channel has grown to over 25,000 subscribers. It's been an incredible privilege to be able to share my sculpting journey with tens of thousands.
